Insolvency

Managing insolvency proceedings requires knowledge, proficiency, and experience in leading legal and economic processes, with the aim of achieving the goals of the proceeding and maximizing economic value for the benefit of all parties involved.

Members of our firm's Insolvency Department are appointed both by the courts and by the Official Receiver for Insolvency and Economic Rehabilitation, to serve as officeholders in the field, including as special administrators, trustees, and liquidators. The attorneys in the department are listed on the trustee rosters maintained by the Ministry of Justice (the Official Receiver), including on the rosters for managing complex proceedings. The department heads also serve as officeholders in insolvency proceedings on behalf of the Registrar of Associations and the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.

The Insolvency Department represents corporations that have become financially distressed, and routinely works to build a strategy that will benefit the debtor (individual or corporation) so that they can return to normal economic life. To this end, our firm's Insolvency Department operates through a dedicated team assembled for each complex case, comprising attorneys and accompanying accountants.

In addition, the Insolvency Department represents creditors in insolvency proceedings — primarily private corporations, local authorities, and individuals — and specializes in managing the proceeding with the goal of ensuring the creditor's debt is repaid in the optimal manner.

Our firm has expertise in all types of insolvency proceedings — for corporations and individuals alike — including rehabilitation proceedings, liquidation proceedings, creditor arrangements, receivership, and enforcement of security interests. This expertise includes representing and accompanying each of the parties to insolvency proceedings, and even prior to their initiation.

Among our firm's clients are private and public companies, shareholders, banks in Israel and abroad, investment funds, cooperative societies, partnerships, associations, and individuals. In addition, our firm represents the largest municipal bodies in Israel.
