אורי זליגמן

Adv. Uri Zeligman heads the Cooperative Associations Department at the firm and previously served as the Registrar of Cooperative Associations for over 25 years. Uri is a recognized authority in cooperative associations law and a key contributor to shaping and developing this field in Israel.

Uri specializes in corporate law, particularly cooperative associations law, including registration of new cooperative associations, amending bylaws, classification of associations, mergers, investments in cooperatives, admission of partners or investors, conducting investigations and audits in associations, and advising associations subject to registrar-initiated reviews. He assists in the winding-up of cooperative associations and advises associations and their members when a liquidator has been appointed.

In addition, Uri specializes in converting cooperatives to companies, dividend distributions, handling membership issues including successor arrangements, share redemptions, and advising association governing bodies — including management committees, secretariats, audit committees, representative assemblies, councils, and general assemblies. He also advises on complex legal matters related to expansions, kibbutzim, cooperative moshavim, workers' moshavim, cooperative villages, community settlements, and other types of associations.

Uri leads the firm's Mediation and Arbitration Department, serving as an arbitrator by appointment of courts, the parties, the Kibbutz Movement's Institution for Arbitration and Mediation, and the Moshav Movement's arbitration body. He lectures and organizes seminars to improve understanding of the management, development, financial structure, budgeting, legislation, and registration of cooperatives in Israel.
