Local Authorities

Local authorities directly and indirectly shape nearly every aspect of residents' lives, and by their nature, their activity is complex and multi-faceted. Supporting an authority's day-to-day work requires professionals who are fluent in municipal language and who understand the many layers of the work. Our firm has extensive experience representing some of Israel's largest local authorities, as well as local committees in various communities operating under section 90 of the Local Councils (Regional Councils) Order.

Supporting local authorities

The legal support and representation we provide to local authorities among our clients includes, among other things, ongoing representation in diverse legal proceedings, review of legal, statutory, public and business dimensions of the authority's activity, representation in legal and administrative proceedings before the competent tribunals, counsel to the tenders department and tender committee (including representing them in court), and support on planning and construction matters.

We provide ongoing counsel to local committees, including participation and advisory support in committee and sub-committee meetings, project execution, and representation of local committees in all matters related to project operation following completion — as well as legal representation before boundary committees and in determinations of jurisdictional areas and more.
